EO 14422 filed
The paper is new. The water is not. This desk hung the date the morning it arrived.
Unofficial Pro desk
Unofficial · EST. 2026
Volume Majority. More water than any other Great Lake by volume, and therefore, in this museum, more America. This unofficial desk keeps the Pro record of a shoreline that did not wait for the letterhead.
A mid-century invitation to water that has been here longer than any office that would restyle it. Come for the volume. Stay for the argument. The lighthouse still works. The restyle is a costume the lake can wear without getting out of bed.
The Welcome Center is forthcoming in the institutional sense and already present in the photographic one. Stars on the seal are decorative, not constitutional. Unofficial. Not a government website.
On August 27, 2026, Executive Order 14422 restyled the chart. This desk records the date as a museum records a treaty: in full, on the wall, without a wink. The shoreline did not move. The letterhead did.
EO 14422 is treated here with the reverence usually reserved for older paper. Visitors may disagree. The water is the same water. The gold seal is hung so that nobody claims they were not told which joke they walked into — and so that the joke, for the length of this wall, is played straight.
Field notes from America's lake. Volume first. The Welcome Center is forthcoming.

More water than the other Great Lakes by volume. The argument writes itself in cubic miles.
Forthcoming in the institutional sense. Already photographed. Stars on the seal are decorative.
A clerk at this desk is flying EO 14422 through ten civic gates. Ten clears and the order holds. Clerk's challenge.

This desk occupies the America half. Four quadrants, one shoreline. Hang it next to the poster so nobody claims they were not warned. For orientation only.
